Highlights:
Day One - Guests can relax immediately upon arrival with a drink and delectable cheese platter overlooking the Fiordland mountains. Guests can then explore the Lodge's 2000 acre estate at their leisure. In the evening guests will relax over cocktail hour and canapes, followed by a multi-course evening meal, enjoying Cabot Lodge and the spectacular mountain and lake views in complete privacy and serenity.
Day Two - Guests will wake to a hearty cooked breakfast before experiencing the jewel in Fiordland's crown, with a guided tour of Milford Sound. Guests will be collected from the Lodge by a private guide to explore the stunning Milford Road with over 15 scenic stops to enjoy the breathtaking surrounds. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photographs, experience the varied landscapes and enjoy some of the hidden short walks through the National Park. Upon arrival into Milford Sound, guests will enjoy a two-hour cruise through the fiords with a picnic lunch. Canapés, drinks and divine New Zealand cuisine will be awaiting guests on their return to the Lodge for a second evening in paradise.
Day Three - Guests will again wake to a hearty cooked breakfast, before enjoying their a choice of one of New Zealand's Great Walks or exploring the Te Anau glowworm caves. Fiordland is known as the Walking Capital of the World, so what better way to enjoy this World Heritage Area than to set out on foot and experience the incredible scenery of the renowned Kepler Track. Guests will take on a three hour section of the track, stopping at a secluded beach on the shores of Lake Manapouri for a picnic lunch provided by Cabot Lodge, as well as a dip in the lake for those brave enough! Alternatively, guests can experience the unique phenomenon of Te Anau's glowworm caves. Guests will take a cruise across Lake Te Anau, before heading underground to float through the cave's internal waterway, staring up at the twinkling lights covering the winding network of limestone caves. The caves are accessible to all ages, and once inside the network of limestone passages, the caves are extremely spacious and comfortable to move through. Guests will return home after their day of exploring Fiordland's unique wilderness to canapes, drinks and their final evening meal, showcasing the best of the region's farm to plate cuisine.
